Pattern Based - Although I couldn’t find the links just now, this site used to have some excellent free downloads from Joe Minadeo and Low in the Sky - both highly recommended.
Ninja Tune - If you don’t know these guys, in short, you should. They’ve been putting out some of the best downtempo (among other things) around for a long time.
Ghostly International - These guys have a pretty wide variety in their offerings, but my favorites are certainly Tycho and Chris Willits.
San Diego DJs
JonWesleyDJ - Jon has been playing in San Diego for well over 10 years and it definitely shows, both in his track selection and his DJ skills. Check him out.
Mark E Quark - Mark has been DJ’ing in San Diego for some 15 years and, as one might expect, his track selection and DJ skills reflect it.His sets really cover a broad spectrum… highly recommended that you check one out if you get the chance.
DJ Misha - Misha is a solid house DJ, so if you’re in San Diego and house is your thing, find out where he’s playing.
DJ Tchort - Another solid house DJ. If you’re in San Diego, check him out.

San Diego Promoters
Payola Productions - DJ’s Jessie La Due, Coco and Nikki make up this San Diego-based promo team. Great DJ’s, good folks… check out one of their events if you get a chance.
The Infusion Project - A community-based art/music collective, The Infusion Project is doing some really cool events around San Diego that infuse art/music/fashion/etc into the traditional club night… events I’m happy to be a part of. Check ‘em if you’re in San Diego.
Artists/Musicians
Patterns of Twelve - Really excellent San Diego/New York based shoegazer/ambient duo. Their album is available to download for free from their website, although they are accepting donations and I’m sure they’d appreciate a few bucks here and there…
Web Developers, Designers, Etc
Jon Wesley - Yes, this is the same guy as the DJ listed above. He designed this site for me and got me up to speed on Wordpress and as an added bonus, he’s really easy to work with. If you’d like a site like this, I suggest you talk to him. He also does logo design, flyer art and a number of other things… cool stuff!
Jesse Karras - A production partner of mine and another great web/logo/etc designer. Check out his page and hit him up if you need some design work done!

XKCD Web Comic - This guy kills me. His comics are undeniably geeky, but he someone manages to make jokes about Linux and love equally amusing.
